The Law Bosses

About

This project proposed a multi-sensory immersion into Bookarrakarra – the dreaming of the East Kimberley. A concept that describes an ageless, timeless relationship to country, to spirit, to ceremony, to songlines, and to the dance with ancestors between this world and others. It was pitched as an immersive experience where Senior Kimberley Aboriginal Law Bosses would share wisdom and stories, and using virtual reality, computer generated imagery (CGI), and music at an exhibition hosted by WA Art Gallery AGWA.

Impact

It's an accolade in itself to be selected into the final 6 through the competitive process run by our Grants Assessment Panel. Only projects considered to be compelling, innovative and artistically rigorous enough make it to this stage! Each presenting finalist is given pitch training and support and although they did not win a major grant they did get to walk away with $10,000 of un-tied funding towards their practice or project! Not to mention having had great exposure to our arts industry leading panel members and many local small and large philanthropic arts funders.
