This was the first ARTS Impact project to be delivered in November 2022. This inaugural major event saw the first indigenous focused film festival in WA be delivered by WA’s only Indigenous owned film company, Goolarri Media Enterprises in collaboration with CinefestOz. This fun, friendly and flamboyant 4-day celebration was curated for the unique setting of Broome and comprised a mixture of feature film screenings, special events and community engagement with a focus on first nations stories.

- A major new film festival added to the renowned CinefestOz programme, with 2022 statistics showing: - Over 1800 attendance - 110+ young people engaged in filmmaking activities - Fifteen screenings – eight of which were free community screenings - The program screened twenty-seven feature films, documentaries and short films - The Cinesnaps program reached 350 children across 11 schools - Ten budding screen writers attended First Nations WritersLab - Twenty-two locals acted as movie crew volunteers CinefestOz Broome 2023 followed this year in October
